Santiago Guisasola

Visiting professor

Santiago O. Guisasola received his B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida and Ph.D. in Mathematical Behavioral Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA).

He has been involved in education throughout his career, with teaching experience at the University of Texas at Austin, University of California Irvine, California State University Long Beach. He has worked with the Santa Fe Institute's education team on a variety of programs, from introductory online courses to advanced in-person programs.

He has a strong interest in improving and developing new tools and approaches for teaching mathematics. He is also interested in applications of mathematics to the social and behavioral sciences.
