Leobardo Fernández
He did his undergraduate studies (with honours) and his master studies in the Mathematics Department of the Science Faculty of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM, and his Ph. D. studies at the Mathematics Institute of the UNAM. During his Ph. D. studies he did a research stay, in Topology, from September 2007 to July 2008 in “The University of Toledo”, in Toledo, Ohio, USA. In June 2013 he did another research stay, also in Topology, in “The University of Delaware”, in Newark, Delaware, USA. From January 2014 to April 2016 he was doing a postdoctoral stay, in Dynamical Systems, in “the University of Birmingham” in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He has seven published papers, four in Topology and three in Dynamical Systems in international refereed journals and he is part of the National System of Researchers (SNI, level 1). He has been part of profesional exams committee in nine occasions. He has given seventeen talks in international conferences or seminars, ten talks in national conferences or seminars. He has also given a mini course in a national conference. He has been referee in publications of the Science Faculty. He was part of the committee of the Mathematics career of the Science Faculty for three years, from 2011 to 2013. He has been teaching at the Science Faculty of the UNAM since 2003 and at the ITAM since 2004.
