Metric Diophantine approximation lies at the heart of my research interests, especially the fractal geometrical aspect of complex continued fractions. Nevertheless, other topics such as uniformly distributed sequences, symbolic dynamics, and transcendental number theory have also  caught my attention. After obtaining my Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics with honors from ITAM, I earned my master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from UNAM (Mexico). My interest in Diophantine approximation led me to pursue a PhD in Mathematics at Aarhus University, Denmark. Afterward, I held postdoctoral positions at the Physics Institute, Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (Mexico) and La Trobe University  (Australia), where I am currently an Adjunct Research Fellow. Both my publications and the invitations to speak at institutions in Canberra, Wuhan, or Warsaw, among others, show my growing network of national and international collaborators. Alongside research, teaching has been fundamental to my career. I have taught at a university level for over ten years. I have advised bachelor theses at UNAM and graduate theses at La Trobe University. Starting in August 2026, I am a happy and proud full-time professor in the Mathematics Department at ITAM.
