Claudia Albarrán
She is a renowned essayist and literary critic, as well as a specialist in Mexican contemporary literature and academic writing related topics. She has a Masters Degree in Literature by El Colegio de México and a Doctorate in Literature by Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She’s the author of Luna menguante. Vida y obra de Inés Arredondo (2000), and coauthor of several books, such as Diccionario de Literatura Mexicana. Siglo XX (2000 y 2004), Guía Práctica de Redacción (2002), Narradores mexicanos en la transición de medio siglo (1847-1968) (2007) and Herramientas para escribir (bien): nociones básicas (2014). She conducted the biographical research for the complete works of Inés Arredondo (complete collection of stories and essays, 2012) and the compilation of texts for the book Cómo escriben los que escriben. La cocina del escritor (2011), of which she’s also a coauthor. She has published several articles and imparted a diverse number of workshops, courses and conferences about Mexican literature and academic and professional writing. She’s a full-time professor at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Department of Languages.
