Arturo Peláez
Arturo Peláez
Masters in Political Sociology from the Instituto Mora and BA in Philosophy from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac. He also studied Political Science at ITAM and Theology at the Instituto Superior de Estudios Eclesiásticos de la Ciudad de México.
He is an expert in qualitative research methods and, hence, worked at the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico, where he led various research projects regarding policies within the Judiciary, including judicial professional public service, file statistics and the adversarial criminal justice system. Furthermore, he has served in various posts within the Mexican government related to national security.
At ITAM, he teaches undergraduate courses on Political and Social Ideas and Institutions I and Problems of Mexico's Contemporary Reality.
He is actively engaged in citizen networks working to analyze and eradicate femicide in Mexico.
