America is a CPA graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana. She holds a  Master's degree in Administration from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de México (ITAM), Diploma in Corporate Finance from  Kellogg   Business  School,   Northwestern    University    and has studies  Senior Management AD2   by IPADE, Pan American Institute of Senior Management. She is certified in the Counselor Development Program at the Center of Excellence in Corporate Governance and   the Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD, Business School.

She has experience in the areas of Finance, Financial Planning and  Strategic Planning with direct responsibility in all financial areas in various industries, as well as in areas of compliance and internal audit at the local, regional and global levels.

She has held various positions in countries such as Peru, the United States and Mexico in business development, mergers and acquisitions, integration projects,  organizational transformation  and  Start-ups.

Between 1980 and 1985 she served as External Auditor for international companies at Ernst & Young Mexico.

Between 1985 and 2002, she held several executive positions within the areas of Finance for Latin America and Canada, at  Eli Lilly, a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry

From 2003 to 2007 she was in Vice President of Finance at Avon Cosmetics, being responsible for the management support of the Financial and Planning area, including IT Systems and Legal areas for Mexico,  Central America and Ecuador.

From 2007 to 2019 she was Vice President of Finance & CFO at Smurfit Kappa Group  Mexico,  where  she was responsible for the Financial and Planning area, including Information Systems,Supply   and Legal,  a partner in the company's expansion, thus strengthening the company's manufacturing operations in Mexico and seeking new market opportunities.

She has an active participation  and involvement in important corporate and professional associations, as a member of the Council of Americas. She participates  in    the Corporate Governance, Competitiveness and Strategic Planning Committees and was    President    of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives , Mexico City chapter,among others.

In the last two years she has been considered in the group of the ten best CFO-Mexico Finance Directors.

She is currently Managing Partner in Consultants in Senior and Business Management, S.C. And,

Recently he joined as CFO a City Developer, Desarrolladora de Ciudad , a company with more than  40 years of experience,focused on  conceptualizing, executing and marketing real estate projects, leading the areas of Administration and Finance, Human Capital and Legal.
