Alfredo Martínez
He obtained his B.A. (Philosophy) and his M.A. (History of Thought) at Universidad Panamericana. He obtained his PhD (Philosophy) at UNAM. He was a CONACYT national scholarship holder from 2012 to 2016 and was honored with a UC MEXUS-CONACYT postdoctoral fellowship to make a research stay at UCSD (2017). He is a member of the Red Iberoamericana Leibniz since 2013.
As ITAM’s professor he has taught the following courses: Ideas e Instituciones Sociales y Políticas I, II y III, Historia Socio Política de México y Problemas de la Civilización Contemporánea I. He was a full-time professor at the Department of History of Thought of Universidad Panamericana and served as Coordinator of the Department of Humanities of this same University.
He has published various articles in journals /books specialized in G. W. Leibniz´s thought and / or in Early Modernity (XVII century) in Mexico, Spain and Germany. He has delivered various lectures in Leibniz´s philosophy specialized congresses and conferences in Mexico, Europe and South America. He is currently a member of the organizing committee of the IV Congreso Iberamericano Leibniz that will be held in Mexico City in 2020.
