Alejandro Terán Somohano holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from ITAM, and an MSIE and PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University in the United States. He worked under Dr. Alice Smith applying Operations Research techniques to hospital layout design. He was also involved in various research projects funded by NASA, MDA, and Toyota. After his doctorate, he worked at UPS in Atlanta on distribution route optimization.
