Joyce Sadka is an assistant professor and researcher with a joint affiliation to the Law Department and the Centro de Investigacion Economica of ITAM. She holds a PhD in Economics from Rice University and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University. Since 2005 Joyce has collected several large data bases from case files of employment lawsuits in Mexico, to study issues of applied bargaining, litigation, settlement, enforcement, and access to justice. In the last 5 years she has run more than 8 field experiments in labor courts, including ones related to monitoring, quality control, incentives, provision of statistical information to parties, and conciliation.
