Tania Rodríguez

She has been a member of ITAM’s faculty since 1994, teaching courses in Public International Law I and II, as well as Human Rights. She got her undergraduate law degree from ITAM. She holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law and is a Doctor of Laws, both from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad National Autónoma de México, UNAM),

She was granted the Ignacio L. Vallarta medal when she concluded her graduate studies. She is part of the National System of Researchers (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores). She has published books and articles about Mexican foreign policy, diverse topics regarding the incorporation of International Law to the domestic legal system, and Mexico’s relation with the Inter-American System of Human Rights, amongst others. She coordinates ITAM’s participation in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights through amicus curiae written by ITAM’s student body.

She has participated in panels and conferences regarding Public International Law, International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, the relationship between the international system and our domestic legal system, as well as those that cover foreign policy topics. She has given courses about the implementation of International Human Rights and Humanitarian standards to different public officials.
