Brad McBride is Professor of International Business at the ITAM Business School in Mexico City since 1994. He received his doctorate in International Trade and Investment from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas-Austin in 1995 as well as his MBA (1978) and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (1975) from the University of Nebraska. Prior to joining the faculty at ITAM, he worked at a subsidiary of Pepsi Cola International in the Financial and Accounting Division of its affiliate in Mexico, as well as in Internal Audit of the Corporate International Division.
His research has focused on questions related to the informal economy in emerging markets of Latin America, including the import and marketing of products in informal markets in the region; also work values of employees in emerging markets and the problems of workplace or gender violence and management of conflicts in small and microfirms. His research has been published in journals such as Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management, European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Emerging Markets, and Journal of Business Research, among others. Dr. McBride is on the editorial staff of International Journal of Emerging Markets, and serves as mentor for Latin American universities seeking Business School accreditation by the AACSB-International.
