Stéphan Sberro
Full time professor and presently Head of the International Studies Academic Department at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Jean Monnet Center of European Studies professor, co-director of the Institute of European Integration Studies of the ITAM. He is level II national researcher at CONACYT.
He holds a doctorate in Political Science from the Institute of High Studies of Latin America of the University of Paris II and High European Studies diploma by the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium; a Master in Economics of the University of Paris II-Panthéon-Assas. He also has a bachelor in Modern French Literature from the University of Paris VII-Jussieu and a diploma in Languages and Civilizations of East Africa from the National Institute of Languages and East Civilizations of (Langues’O) Paris. He has published many books and a large number of articles mainly about the European Union and its relations with Latin America, the Middle East and Languages within the international relations.
The European Comission granted him the title of Jean Monnet Professor ad personam due to his contribution to European Studies. Moreover he was given a three years Jean Monnet module of European Studies. He was granted a Fullbright scholarship from the United States government to work at the University of New York.
Stephan Sberro has been visiting professor and researcher in many universities in France (Sciences Po, Paris, Institut des Hautes Études de l’Amérique Latine y université de Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle), Canada (Université de Montréal and Carleton University in Ottawa), United States (New York University, NYU), Israel (Hebrew University in Jerusalem) and Nigeria (University of Nigeria, Nuskka).
