He is currently the Head of the Department of Statistics and Coordinator of the Diploma in Applied Statistics.
He has a degree in Actuaría by the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM and a PhD in Applied Mathematics in Social Sciences from the University of Grenoble, France.
In addition to his activity as a professor in the area of ??statistics at the bachelor's and master's level, he has served as advisor and member of a number of specialized committees to carry out studies in different instances in some ministries and federal and local public bodies (Ministry of Communications and Transportation, Ministry of Social Development, National Population Council, Federal Council for the Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination of Mexico City, Federal Electoral Institute, Electoral Institute of Mexico City, Human Rights Commission of the Federal District, National Institute of Educational Evaluation). He is interested studies related to statistical aspects for the measurement of social phenomena such as marginalization, discrimination, quality of education in public schools, quick counts in the last three presidential elections and studies on special issues presented in the Chamber of Senators. In addition, he has collaborated as author and co-author in journals and specialized books in different areas of research and dissemination of Statistics.
