He is a full time professor at the Academic Department of General Studies at ITAM. He has a BA in Philosophy from Universidad Iberoamericana, and graduate studies from Ateneo Filosófico, where he had the opportunity to attend lectures given by professors from different universities and research centers. He has taken several courses about psychoanalysis and has exhaustively studied eastern religions and philosophies.
For more than twenty years, he coordinated the Certification Course in World Religions and taught classes at the Certification Course in Contemporary Thought at the Continuing Education Office at ITAM. He has also taught Ideas and Political and Social Institutions I, II, III and Problems in Contemporary Civilization I and II at the Academic Department of General Studies at ITAM.
For years he has traveled to countries in Europe and Far East, studying eastern cultures, especially those that are Buddhist-oriented. He is also interested in aesthetic representations, mainly literature and art cinema.
He has published articles in several magazines and books, and has given talks in different mass media.
His main research interest deals with cultural globalization and its different representations within multiculturalism.
