Rosa Athie

Part time professor

 Studied Public Accounting at ITAM and obtained a double Master's degree in Public Accounting from the University of Florida and the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Since 2003 she is an academic at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in the area of Financial Accounting, Administrative Accounting and Cost Accounting. She is currently coordinator of the subjects of Accounting Process, subject taught to all students of the business school and Accounting 1, subject taught to all other degrees of ITAM. She coordinates the Minor Faculty of the Academic Department of Accounting and is the professor responsible for the university agreement with SAP (SAP University Alliances) for the implementation of practical ERP courses in different subjects of the Public Accounting and Financial Strategy career.

Since 2013 she has been a professor of the Diploma in Corporate Performance Measurement and since 2018 of the Diploma in Accounting and Finance at ITAM. He is a member of the Commission for Non-Profit Entities of the College of Public Accountants of Mexico, A.C. He has participated in the design and delivery of courses for Non-Profit Entities and courses for SCOTIABANK, online projects for ITAM and BANAMEX as well as research projects for the Ministry of Economy in conjunction with ITAM. She is the author and co-author of several articles published in the journals of Public Accounting and Veritas, both journals belonging to the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants and the College of Public Accountants of Mexico respectively.

Professionally he provided services for the maquiladora companies "Selkirk de México, SA de CV; Action West de Mexico, SA de CV and Gladstone de Mexico, SA de CV., coordinating and supervising their accounting and tax process, reporting directly to the parent company in the United States. He was in charge of the Comptroller of the Mexican Foreign Exchange House belonging to the extinct Banco BCH, S. A. de C. V. Provided accounting services for the Embassy of Australia in Mexico reporting to the Ambassador in turn the financial information of that entity. He worked for one of the international firms (Big Four) of accountants Peat Marwick Mitchel (currently KPMG) and for the firm of accountants and auditors Gómez Morfín Meljem y Asociados.
