Currently, he is the Program Director of Business Engineering and full time professor and researcher at ITAM. In the same institution, he also held the position of Acting Program Director of Industrial Engineering. He has a bachelor degree in Control, Communications and Electronics Engineering, from the Anahuac University, master and doctoral degrees in Systems Engineering, from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and a postdoctoral degree in Finance from Tulane University, U.S.A. As of today, he is taking courses to obtain a master degree in Data Science.

Professionally, he worked in the public sector at the Finance Ministry and at the Central Bank of Mexico. In the private sector he held positions in Compañía Nestlé, Vitro, Mexicana de Aviación, Operadora de Bolsa, and Casa de Bolsa Inverlat.

He teaches courses in Operations Research and Finance. He is a Franz Edelman laureate since 2010, when he participated in a joint project with the Central Bank of Mexico, the Mexican Stock Exchange and ITAM in the development of a new operating and settlement system.
