Yuhta Ishii's research focuses on microeconomic theory. In particular, his research lies at the intersection of dynamic games and information economics. More specifically, his research in social learning studies how information diffuses throughout a population especially in environments in which the way information is generated is endogenous. Another strand of his research studies how firms/strategic agents interested in the development of a good market reputation may or may not be limited by the way its actions are monitored and how signals about the firm's reputation are conveyed to the public.
