He is the Dean of the academic programs of Mechatronics Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering, as well as full-time professor and researcher at the Digital Systems Department. He is Doctor in Electronics, Informatics, Robotics and Telecommunications from the University of Genoa, Master of Science on Microsystems Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences at Furtwangen, and Communications Engineer from Universidad Iberoamericana. His research is related to the design and development of intelligent transportation systems. He worked as a product development engineer at Ford Motor Company, and completed a post-doctorate at the Fiat Research Center in Italy. He is a member of Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), and of the CONACYT National Network of Robotics and Mechatronics. At ITAM he has taught a variety of courses, including: signals and systems, digital signal processing, physics, electronics, research seminar, and digital communications at ITAM. Additionally, he has also taught the courses of digital design, circuit analysis, electrical machines, and robotics, at other universities. He has been a CONACyT and DAAD scholar.
